Deep Listening Canvass & Phonebank Program

Join OneAmerica Votes' 2026 Deep Listening Canvass & Phonebank Program!

Last year, OneAmerica Votes coordinated a statewide deep listening program titled "Our Power, Our Block" - and we'll be carrying that into 2026!

We went out into our communities and held deep, open-ended conversations to hear directly from people about the issues they care about. These are more than just phonebanks and canvasses, it's an opportunity to connect with your neighbors, listen to their stories, and make sure that every voice on our block is heard.

What we heard in 2025 from our communities:

Immigration was the top issue people were facing, but housing and cost of living shape their daily struggle most directly. Work, childcare, and workplace discrimination appear as practical barriers to stability. And healthcare and safety appear as deeper stressors tied to poverty. Beneath it all, political distrust and information gaps prevent many people from seeing clear paths to action, highlighting the need for trusted messengers and relational organizing.

Despite all of this, below the surface lies hope, evidence of resilience and openness to connection. And in these moments of gratitude and curiosity, organizing opportunities exist. Across 2025, we trained over 100 volunteers to join us, moving them to take action with us.

Why we need your support in 2026:

OneAmerica Votes is building on the work that began in our Immigrant Justice Team and inviting people to build power with us through our issue campaigns and regional chapters. If you have an interest in canvassing or phonebanking in your neighborhood, we can provide the relevant support, training and materials.

Fill out this volunteer list to let us know that you're interested in building power with us, whether through phonebanking or canvassing in 2026!

On the right, be sure to let us know a good day of the week and time for one of our organizers to reach out. Thank you!
